San Francisco - July 2006

The Southern Stars put on a fantastic Netball tournament in San Francisco on July the 15th and should be very proud of their efforts. The sun was out, with a nice breeze to cool the air and 7 teams were there in full force to play some great Netball and show each other what they made of.

The day was full of excitement with tough games, fair play and cheering fans and teams. The high light of the day was definitely when the Channel 2 News Camera was there to film some fantastic play. This was replayed later on the local news that night!! What a fantastic achievement!!!

Throughout the day New York Navigators had some very good games, one of them being the Waves and the other against MINC to whom found themselves playing again in the finals.

After a long day of hard playing and enjoyment the tournament was over. The Navigators took out 1st place and second place went to MINC. With all of the teams racing to the club rooms to watch themselves strut their stuff on the TV.
A special thank you to Minette and the Southern Stars Netball club for holding such a awesome tournament that was enjoyed by all. And a ven bigger congratulations for the opening of their new netball court that defiantly served its purpose on the day and many more to come.
